Jean-Claude Bordelet, passionate designer, founded in 1976 a company specialized in the study and manufacture of metal fireplaces. He quickly became a leader in creation, integrating color with perfect mastery of metal working techniques. With JC Bordelet, the fireplaces become a real decorative element that breaks with the standardized model.
In 1982, Jean-Claude Bordelet imposed his style and his signature by presenting on a Parisian fair the central fireplace Laura 2, suspended by its pipe, open on all sides and lacquered in blue color. Since then, innovation remains the main concern of the company which is positioned at the forefront of the profession: personalization, innovation and technical progress punctuate the evolution of the company.
In 2006, the company joined the Seguin Group with the same convictions in terms of product quality and corporate ethics. It relies on a renowned network and expertise to offer its creations to as many people as possible. In the Seguin Group, JC Bordelet is positioned on a high-end target with exceptional know-how. Seguin thus invests the world of creation and design.
Since then, Bordelet strives to keep the original spirit of its creations, such as the design of models Zelia 908 for example, or the last born, the fireplace Calista 917. Its leitmotif: to highlight the fire with elegance and sobriety, to dare color in a black and white universe, without ever sacrificing anything to the purity of the lines.
With more than 180 shades (RAL), JC Bordelet is the only company to offer such a palette of colors and finishes. The brand has been awarded several times, the model Eva 992 has won the Janus Award for Design in 1992, bestowed by a jury consisting of a panel of journalists, industrialists, architects and designers.
Historically based in Castries, the new JC Bordelet fireplaces production unit has been inaugurated in Vendargues in June 2019 and thus retains its regional positioning. The main objective is to increase the production capacity of the brand, preserving its know-how.
2500 m2 house a bigger paint booth than the previous factory and an extra oven. The 23 employees adopted a new organization of work: better ergonomics and the creation of a quality position for the control of the products. A showroom also allows the brand to welcome its dealer network. The workforce is expected to grow in the coming months to conquer new export markets with the support of the Group and its latest acquisition: the Danish company HWAM. Production synergy projects are also under study.
